Business Continuity Update

Further local lockdown guidelines (Tier 1, 2, 3) have led us to review our current ‘open office’ status to ensure continued safety for our clients and staff.

We are pleased to assure you that our office in Chester, Cheshire remains open for pre-booked meetings with clients, new enquiries and for our staff members, where guidelines allow.

In addition to face-to-face consultations, we continue to offer Zoom video conferencing or meetings by phone. We are happy to accommodate whichever method you are most comfortable with.

Government guidance is changing daily, but at time of writing it is as follows:

  • Under Tier 1 and 2 you can travel to us, or we can visit you at your home for work purposes, subject to complying with safety guidelines.
  • Tier 3 means we can travel to you, but you can’t visit us.

We will contact you prior to your meeting to determine your unique circumstances. We ask for your understanding and obedience of these Government rules.

 

If you live in Cheshire West & Chester or Cheshire East

Cheshire is currently under Tier 2 restrictions meaning ‘high risk’.

You can travel to us or we can visit you at home for work purposes. However, arranging to meet two clients in one household or in the office if they do not live together is not permitted, unless they have formed a support bubble.

 

If you live in Wirral, Liverpool area or Lancashire

These areas are currently under Tier 3 restrictions meaning ‘very high risk’. The Government is advising people not to travel into or out of an area if it has been categorised as a very high alert level area. Unlike the situation in North Wales, it is not a legal requirement.

There is an exemption to the guidance for work, so we can travel to clients’ homes providing safety guidance is followed. You may not visit us in Chester.

 

If you live in Wales

The Coronavirus Firebreak rules come into force at 6:00pm on Friday 23 October until Monday 9th November 2020.

Travel in Wales ‘without a reasonable excuse’ during the circuit breaker lockdown period is an offence. We have consulted with Business Wales and our understanding is that visiting a Financial Advisor is not deemed to be a ‘reasonable excuse’ for leaving a lockdown area.

Therefore we are unable to hold face to face meetings with our clients in Wales during the Firebreak period.

 

Other surrounding areas

Shropshire is currently Tier 1 (medium risk).

Staffordshire is currently Tier 1 (medium risk).

Manchester is currently Tier 2 (high risk). (EDIT – Tier 3 restrictions will begin in Greater Manchester on Friday 23rd October from midnight)

Your meeting

On booking your face-to-face meeting, you will be asked health questions in relation to Covid-19 to ensure safety for yourself and our staff.

We continue to comply with Covid-secure guidelines inside our building through usage of safety signs, hand sanitiser and wipes, plus stickers on the floor to create 2 metre distanced areas. Meeting room doors remain open for ventilation and to reduce germ spreading through touch. Meeting rooms are sanitised before and after each use.

We have a Track and Trace QR code at the door and encourage anyone entering to also follow ‘Hands, Face and Space’. You are encouraged to wear a face covering.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer hot or cold drinks during the meeting.

Please remember that we can hold your meeting over Zoom video conference or by phone, or postpone it as you prefer.
