Andrea conquers world leading obstacle race

Our most recent recruit, Andrea Nagyova recently accomplished the Ultra Spartan race.

On Saturday 14th September 2019, the Spartan race was held in Perth, Scotland. Financial Services Administrator, Andrea and her partner Michal (pictured L-R) were just 2 of 3,000 participants that took part.

The 35 mile course is described as a ‘physical and mental test’ that combines running with 70 fun but gruelling obstacles. Participants are required to wade through muddy trenches, scale slippery 8-foot ramps, clamber up 25-foot-high cargo nets, leap over fire and much more.

With more than 130 races around the globe annually, Spartan is the worlds leading obstacle course racing series. Although extremely tough, the Perth course boasts the most beautiful views of them all with its route through the Scottish highlands.

All of the obstacles require a great deal of strength and endurance to complete. Preparation and training is essential.

We are delighted to reveal that Andrea and her partner Michal both completed the course in approximately 12 hours. This saw Andrea take 3rd place for her age group and them both achieve ‘Ultra Finisher’ medals. Ultra Finisher medals are awarded to those who have completed the toughest Spartan races and their achievement counts towards a TRIFECTA. WELL DONE from everyone at Innes Reid!

Andrea currently works as an Administrator at Innes Reid after we welcomed her to join our growing team in July. She is extremely active outside of work and her hobbies include running and taking part in events such as this one as well as indoor climbing.
